An Australian law firm that wants to “shake up the industry” is setting up an office in Manchester’s iconic Express Building.
Sydney-headquartered LegalVision aims to quadruple its workforce in the first year at its new Great Ancoats Street base, building on a decade of success in its home country and more recent wins in New Zealand.
The Technology-Driven Commercial Law Team was established in 2012 by Lachlan McKnight and Evan Tait-Styles to provide an “industry-first” membership for businesses to access unlimited, on-demand legal services.
McKnight, Managing Director of LegalVision, said: “We are confident that our transformational approach to client experience, online acquisition and legal services will translate well across the UK, as it has. in Australia and New Zealand.

Services provided by LegalVision include commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment, corporate sales, data and privacy law, franchising and leasing.
LegalVision is growing 40% year over year and said its membership is a first for the legal profession.
McKnight said the UK had been a major target for some time, adding: “The UK market is three times the size of Australia and there are very few tech-focused, business-centric legal service providers. the customer.
